Top 10 budget restaurants
4 Comments 19 March 2012 The Chalet: A great (and cheap!) place to have dinner and watch the world go by. There’s outdoor seating on the edge of Beach Road where a mix of locals and expats chat over a mixed grill or a milkshake. The menu, meanwhile, features everything from chicken tikka masala to crispy fried noodles and lamb kebabs, as well as some very fruity cocktails (perhaps not the most masculine of beverages, but delicious nonetheless). Our recommendation is the hearty biryani. It’s also worth noting that The Chalet offers affordable lunch deals for Dhs18 to Dhs20, which include a main, soup and a soft drink.
Just past Al Manara Road, Jumeirah Beach Road (04 348 7557).

Try Thai Wok in Al-Barsha. They do authentic Thai Food. I like to have Stir Fried Chicken with Cashewnuts, Tom Yum soup and prawn purse in appetizer. It is a small informal place. They are also good at delivery. Good value for money. -

I have been eating at Betawi since they opened this branch a few years ago and have always been going back for more. At times I get stuck on my favourite dish and then discover that the other dishes are also amazing... I can't wait until they open their express branch in Emirates Towers Metro station....Keep up the good work.
