Top 10 budget restaurants
4 Comments 19 March 2012 China Sea: Located just off Deira’s Clock Tower roundabout, this bustling restaurant is popular with Dubai’s resident Chinese community – in fact, you’d probably be hard pressed to find a more authentic-feeling Chinese eatery. The decor is quirky to say the least, with shimmering red and gold curtains made of plastic chillies and peanuts, wicker furniture, kitsch posters and foliage galore. Avoiding the unethical shark’s fin offerings, the bargain-bucket prices mean you can be adventurous – there’s everything from crispy duck to sea cucumber. The fried crab is literally dripping with flavour, emperor chicken comes piled high and smothered in rich black bean sauce, and for vegetarians there’s a good choice, including moreish deep-fried eggplant in chilli sauce. In short, it’s cheap, cheerful and definitely worth the trip.
Al Maktoum Road, Clock Tower, Deira (04 295 9816).

Try Thai Wok in Al-Barsha. They do authentic Thai Food. I like to have Stir Fried Chicken with Cashewnuts, Tom Yum soup and prawn purse in appetizer. It is a small informal place. They are also good at delivery. Good value for money. -

I have been eating at Betawi since they opened this branch a few years ago and have always been going back for more. At times I get stuck on my favourite dish and then discover that the other dishes are also amazing... I can't wait until they open their express branch in Emirates Towers Metro station....Keep up the good work.
