Nothing beats a Friday morning out on the water. A group of three can wakeboard alongside Palm Jebel Ali at Jebel Ali beach Resort & Spa (04 814 5555) for Dhs80 per person per hour, while more relaxed souls can rent kayaks from Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa (04 399 5000) from Dhs50. Or try paddleboarding round the Burj Al Arab with Surf Dubai (from Dhs75 to rent a board, 050 504 3020) – or diving in the Musandam (from Dhs250 with Al Boom Diving, 04 342 2993).

well, this is definitely a big LIE :P
any of the things you mentioned can be true for some people in Dubai depending on their mood, their culture or their interests. but everyone in Dubai agrees that Taxis are sooo EXPENSIVE!
