Jumeirah Golf Estates: The new Fire and Earth courses (the latter being more challenging) are giving the Majlis at Emirates Golf Club a run for its money. Perfect for serious social players looking for a challenge, these Greg Norman-designed courses offer classic links-style play at championship level. The Address Montgomerie Dubai: Designed by Colin Montgomerie and Desmond Muirhead, this course boasts 123 acres of playable turf in a 265-acre environment. The course also offers a floodlit driving range open until 9pm, a putting green and a nine-hole par 3 course open until 10pm. The Els Club: The first thing you will notice about this course is that it looks quite easy; but the second is it’s not as easy as it looks. Wide, inviting fairways lure you into trouble around every hole, in the form of deep, well-hidden bunkers. The course measures a whopping 7,538 yards, but is made up of five sets of tees, giving players of all skill levels a fair test. The Track: The Track is a new nine-hole pay-and-play golf course with no membership fees, located next to the Meydan Racecourse on the site of the old Nad Al Sheba course. Tee markers (shaped like horse shoes, naturally) in five colours transform the course from a challenging 3,700 yards in length to a more manageable 2,690 yards.
