Fans of Bavarian culture were treated to the toe-tapping, oompa-loompa sounds of The Hemmendorier Musikanten German band as revelers descended on the grounds of the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort for the opening of the hotel’s annual Oktoberfest celebrations. Guests clad in lederhosen and dirndls indulged in thigh-slapping merriment before plates were piled high with traditional German food such as wurst and fresh pretzels to soak up the beverages. Guests helped transform the ordinarily tranquil grounds into a boisterous celebration of all things Bavarian.
