Fresh-faced Swede Tim Bergling, aka international DJ sensation Avicii, hit the decks in Dubai on Thursday night. He arrived at Nasimi for a pit stop performance in Dubai as part of a tour of back-to-back shows that has already included dates in the US and Russia. Now part of every seasoned clubber’s consciousness, the 23-year-old has shot to fame with his hit track ‘Levels’ (you know the one – that ‘Oh, sometimes I get a good feeling, yeah...’ song). Over here, Avicii played a sold-out gig, with Sandance Beach heaving with revelers as proof of his popularity. Throughout the DJ’s two-hour set, the atmosphere was electric and the crowd were wild – albeit a little too wild towards the end of the evening: scuffles between worse-for-wear guests marred an otherwise great show.
