A t this time of year, it’s not uncommon for many of the city’s residents to adopt a more nocturnal existence – whether as a means to spend more time at prayer and suhoor, or simply to avoid the worst of the summer heat. The Holy Month itself is perhaps one of the best times to explore the city by night, as many establishments keep their doors open long after midnight and the streets are lit up with even more decorative lights to mark the period. To give you a taste of what Dubai gets up to after you’ve drawn the curtains, we sent a photographer out to capture the emirate from dusk until dawn.
