Haunted Halloween at SPiN Dubai The Susan Sarandon-backed ping-pong nightclub will be hosting a special fancy dress party where the best dressed Halloween revellers will have the opportunity to win a part of the Dhs25,000-worth of prizes which are up for grabs. McGettigan’s Halloween Party Both the JLT and the Dubai World Trade Centre outlets of this popular Irish pub will be hosting special events for Halloween, where you’re encouraged to come dressed as unusually and creatively as you want, encouraged by the fact that there will be free drinks and on-the-spot prizes for successfully spooky participants. Day of the Dead at Cavalli Club This swanky and ever-so slightly over-the-top club always goes all-out to mark Halloween with one of its biggest parties of the year. This year, the venue’s Mexican festival-themed celebration promises a night of colourful and spooky surprises. Expect a weird and wonderful variety of elaborate costumes as everyone bids to outdo each other. Free, door policy applies, 7pm-3am. I Know What You Did Last Summer at the VIP Room The infamous VIP St Tropez is sending its resident DJ Dirty Law to team up with the Dubai branch’s DJ Pepelz to spin R&B, hip-hop and house at this event, which involves zombies at the bar and ghouls serving bubbly. Zombie L.O.V.E at Okku The Japanese restaurant and lounge will be hosting its own culinary take on Halloween, where it will serve twisted takes on classic drinks (think zombie juice) and the venue will be turned into a supernatural-themed world of darkness. Prizes for the best zombie-themed costumes include dinner vouchers worth up to Dhs10,000 and spa treatments as well as drinks. Free, reservations required. From 7pm. Monster Halloween Costume Party at Sandance Beach Last year’s event attracted over 5,000 zombies, monsters and ghouls, so we’re expecting another large turnout of spooks for this huge beach party on the Palm. Expect fire eaters, a horror show, people on stilts and even a crew of shipwrecked entertainers roaming the shore. DJ Tim Cheddar will be spinning the commercial tunes and there’s a whopping Dhs30,000 up for grabs to be shared amongst the best-dressed attendees. Free for ladies before 8pm. Al Qasr Evening Halloween Brunch This most famous of Dubai destinations to go to for brunch is encouraging customers to dust off their finest fancy dress and try this brunch, which is promising to involve a selection of ghoulish, Halloween-inspired food and drinks in the popular Madinat dining spot.
