Thursday 30 See a challenging documentary filmed inside Dubai’s labour camps After an incredibly well received world premiere at DIFF, Dubai-based filmmaker Mahmoud Kaabour’s revealing docu Champ of the Camp gains a full cinematic release following a public fundraising campaign. The first full length documentary to be filmed inside the UAE’s labour camps, this revealing portrait focuses on an annual X-Factor style singing contest hosted in the camps, zeroing in on the hopes and hard lives of the competitors.
