Sample British-Indian fare at Bunny's Tandoori A genre all of its own, the Anglicised take on Indian cuisine at this eatery (handily just a stone's throw from nearby pub McGettigan's) spans everything from mild, creamy butter chicken to melt-the-roof-of-your-mouth spicy phals. Hailing from London, Bunny's boasts an enormous menu from which to try much-loved starters including onion bhajis and you can even get chips as a side for your lamb rogan josh. Pull up a chair in the restaurant's sparkly new interiors (though home delivery is also available) to tuck into fragrant curries, spicy soups and tangy salads. Healthy bites at 77 Veggie Boutique As the name suggests, this bright and airy outlet specialises in vegetarian cuisine, with a focus on low-fat, healthy meals. Each item on the menu lists its calorie content, though some of them do seem a little too good to be true. Bravery is rewarded at Fusion, however, in the form of the tiny cafeteria's masala French fries – good enough that you won't even feel guilty about wolfing the whole lot. There are also regular farmers' markets organised in the vicinity and now the option to get a delivery of fresh fruit and veggies from the store every week. Munch modern Middle Eastern food at Nofara Café Using traditional Arabic dishes as an inspiration springboard, this chic eatery cooks up stacks of creative dishes as well as a must-try breakfast shakshouka (eggs baked with a tomato-based sauce). Experimental diners can also try spinach, feta and sumac omelettes, sumac marinated chicken and kofta pops with a cucumber and yoghurt dip. Taste Canada at Fraiche Café & Bistro Achingly cool interiors and fantastic food to boot, this Canadian pit stop (yes, they do poutine) deserves your attention. With its constantly evolving menu, expect to find yourself thoroughly spoilt for choice on every visit. Go Chinese at Blue Sapphire With bright aquamarine interiors, this lakeside Asian eatery certainly lives up to its name. Try a wonton soup or throw caution to the wind and find out what a Blue Sapphire thong is. As well as the usual Szechuan and chowmein dishes, you can also try wooly chicken, a mysterious vegetarian seven wonders dish cooked in the chef's special sauce, green stick chicken or ‘drums of heaven'. Moreish meals at Memsaab Tired of tofu? Fed up with falafel? Vegetarians can try something a bit different at this Indian restaurant, which incidentally also serves meat. While the sweet and tangy paneer tikka masala is certainly good, it's the Punjabi bainga ka bhartha that keeps us going back. A combination of smoky aubergine, onion, tomato and ghee with a few superhot chillies thrown in for good measure, this dish is one of our JLT favourites. Open daily 11.30am-11.30pm.
