To celebrate the 43rd UAE National Day the Burj Al Arab will be hosting an amazing firework display and festivities from 6pm on December 1. A special area directly opposite the iconic hotel has been constructed to give optimum views of the spectacle. Tickets for this area have already sold out and the streets are expected to be busy. 360° For a picture-perfect view of the Burj Al Arab, look no further than 360°. Located at the end of Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s Marina walkway, the circular bar does exactly what its name says, offering panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai skyline. The venue is great for enjoying sundowners on the open-air deck or getting into the groove on the dancefloor at the indoor club. Whether you attend one of its weekly house music nights brought by Audio Tonic or simply indulge in drinks and dinner, the bar pulls a good crowd. Open Sun-Wed 5pm-2am, Thu-Sat 5pm-3am. Bahri Bar Translated, Bahri means views of the sea, and as its name suggests, Bahri Bar is a pretty serene spot. Overlooking the Madinat waterways, the Arabian Gulf and the Burj Al Arab, there is no shortage of a view here. It’s the is the kind of spot that works during the day and at night. Relax on the terrace during the day and enjoy jazz and soulful grooves later. Ladies can enjoy Bahrilicious Nights every Tuesday, between 7pm and 10pm, where they’ll get two complimentary glasses of bubbly. Open Sat-Mon 4pm-2am, Tue-Fri 4pm-3am. Koubba Bar Located in the lobby of Al Qasr, this bar offers a great vantage point from which to take in the views of both the resort and the Burj Al Arab. Guests can enjoy sunset-themed cocktails and light bites from the bar menu. Heart & Soul take to the stage every Monday to Saturday from 8.15pm. Expect a laid-back and low-key atmosphere. Pacha Ibiza Dubai While Pacha Ibiza Dubai may be more suited to dance music fans, the Rooftop offers stunning views of the Burj Al Arab. Sit back on one of the cushioned sofas and soak up the Mediterranean vibes. Resident DJs Pierre Ravan and Amy Alexandria offer a deep house set weekly, which is fitting for the relaxed ambience of the space. Open Thursday-Friday 11pm-3am. Madinat Jumeirah (04 567 0000).
Pier Chic This idyllic spot deserves the name Pier Chic – the bar, restaurant and lounge is both romantic and elegant. It may be a little pricier than some of the other spots at Madinat Jumeirah, but with views of the Arabian Gulf, the Dubai coastline, Palm Jumeirah and the Burj Al Arab, you get your money’s worth in terms of photo opportunities. Located at the end of the pier at Al Qasr, the venue has recently been renovated. Two new pods – Chic Bar and Chic Lounge –have been created along the pier leading up to the restaurant, adding extra privacy to the intimate spot. Open daily noon-3pm, 6.30pm-11pm. Segreto Segreto’s rooftop terrace bar Centimetro offers fantastic views of Madinat Jumeirah. Offering a large selection of drinks and Italian beverages, the bar is the perfect spot from which to experience la dolce vita. The chilled out atmosphere makes it the go-to spot of many residents. The Agency This cool, modern bar offers a great space in which to relax with friends over a glass of grape. Like its sister bar in Jumeirah Emirates Towers, The Agency offers a pretty good drinks menu, a vibrant atmosphere, and a happy hour that runs from Saturday to Thursday from 5pm until 8pm.
