Once summer subsides, the school year rolls back in, and thoughts turn towards the new season, Halloween inevitably turns its head. Dubai has got tonnes of stuff going on for the spookiest night in town, so here’s a collection of the best nights out around in the build-up to Tuesday October 31.
360 This awesome spot sat out at sea neighbouring the Burj Al Arab is launching six nights of tricks, treats and creepy mixed drinks – starting on Thursday October 26. Expect specially created drinks, menu items, sharing platters and cracking tunes being pumped out every night until Halloween itself on Tuesday October 31. Oct 26-31. 7Elephants A trendy new addition to the DIFC community, 7Elephants is celebrating its first Halloween in Dubai with Disco Inferno, a night full of throwbacks to horror movies from the ’80s and ’90s. Cactus Jacks This fun loving bar is running a macabre Dia de Muertos bash which it promises will “take you on a quest to conquer your deepest, darkest fears”. Dusty’s This DIFC bar is running two events to celebrate the occasion. On Tuesday October 31, head to Dazzle ladies’ night, where there’s a free drink for anyone and everyone who dresses up (even gents). Ladies also get four free drinks when ordering a dish, and 50 percent off a main course. On Friday November 3 head to the Departure brunch Halloween special from 1pm until 4pm. Fairmont The Palm’s Haunted Hotel See out Halloween at Fairmont The Palm, which is offering up a special night brunch on Tuesday October 31. Head to Flow Kitchen from 6pm until 10.30pm for the Halloween Feast brunch, costing Dhs355 for house beverages, and Dhs185 for food only. Kids under six dine free and it’s 50 percent cheaper for kids aged six to 12.
Alternatively, head to All Hallows Eve family afternoon tea at Mashrabiya Lounge from 3pm until 6pm, themed sweets and savouries, plus prizes for the best fancy dress. Indie DIFC This funky spot is running a dedicated themed night “PANIC at the RETRO” an alternative slant on the conventional Halloween night out. Loumi Head down to Loumi for a night in a transformed venue which promises “frightening fun and ghoulish games for all the family to enjoy”. Lucky Voice There’s something spooky going on at Lucky Voice this Halloween, as the club has announced its plans for the ghastliest, ghouliest (we know that’s not a real word, but it works), most haunted night of the year. Get planning your costume now for a huge night of monsters and dream-haunting terrors, as one of Dubai’s biggest clubs prepares to “bring to life all the very worst horror movies” for a Halloween ladies’ night special on Tuesday October 31. Miss Lily’s This Jamaican themed bar is celebrating what was once one of the largest pirate ports of all time, Port Royal in Jamaica. Miss Tess This Asian Street food eatery at Taj Dubai is transforming into a Japanese horror experience bringing to life some of the country’s most terrifying movies like the ring and The Grudge. Mr Miyagi’s Special themed menus for this week-long Halloween between Tuesday October 24 and Tuesday 31, plus a Halloween themed brunch on Friday 27. Plenty of puns at this fun-loving party spot, where the best fancy dress costume on Friday 27 will win two free brunch tickets plus an extra hour of free drinks at Cobra Kai afterwards. Oct 24-31. Nikki Beach Head down to Nikki Beach on Tuesday October 31, where for Dhs130, ladies will get six selected beverages to enjoy between 11am and 6pm, plus a complimentary lounging day bed. It’s worth pointing out though that reservations for ladies’ day can’t be made in advance, and day beds are available on a first come, first served basis – so get down early.

Nola There’s a very 1920s Halloween affair going on at one of JLTs trendiest bars. Publique This funky Souk Madinat spot is getting ready for fright night with a special Halloween-themed menu, dedicated dishes and drinks. There will be special mixed drinks available for Dhs30, selected shorts for only Dhs10, plus the intriguingly titled “flying bats cage”. Ruth’s Chris This is one we’re really excited about. The classic New Orleans-style steakhouse is swinging its doors open for a special murder mystery party on Tuesday October 31. Head back in time to 1965 for a special four-course dinner, where character details and clues will be provided by the restaurant on the night. The Hide Found in Madinat Jumeirah, The Hide is offering up a special Halloween theme menu and transforming itself for a one-off midweek bonanza. The Irish Village The award-winning Irish pub hosts its annual Halloween party on Tuesday October 31. A family-friendly event, entry is free and there are prizes for the best-dressed male, female and child, as well as “fangtastic” (groan) Halloween games for all ages. Toy Room There’s a special ladies’ night at the Toy Room, where you can expect a Stranger Things inspired night. The club says you will “enter a new dimension and get lost in the Frankside Down, a world where your deepest fears become reality”. Trader Vic’s The newly refurbished bar at Madinat Jumeirah is transforming into a world of spooky fun on Tuesday October 31. Wild Wadi Fridays and Saturdays through October, and the big day itself on Tuesday October 31, will be Trick or Treat at Wild Wadi Waterpark. It’s an added feature to usual entry to this Jumeirah waterpark, costing Dhs35 on discounted tickets and complimentary to full price tickets. Zengo Dubai Expect a chilling transformation at this nightlife hotspot, complete with cobwebs and carved out pumpkins.
