Ghoulishly good Halloween parties to head to in Dubai
Once summer subsides, the school year rolls back in, and thoughts turn towards the new season, Halloween inevitably turns its head. Dubai has got tonnes of stuff going on for the spookiest night in town, so here’s a collection of the best nights out around in the build-up to Tuesday October 31.

Al Qasr The huge Jumeirah Al Qasr brunch is opening up for a Halloween special on Friday October 27. There’s going to be a special menu to mark the occasion, but we’re most excited by the 30 percent discount to anyone who arrives dressed up in a costume. We’ll see you there. Barasti The legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff is coming back for the scratchiest, spookiest night of the year at Barasti, one of the city’s top beach clubs. We don’t know whether or not the Fresh Prince will be making another appearance, but what we do know is that it’s going to be one heck of a bash. Free. Fri Oct 27 11am-3am. Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE One of the emirate's coolest party destinations, Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE, is really heating up for Halloween, after announcing the return of its brilliant Burning Beach festival.
The glitzy beach club will be serving up a treat – with not a trick in sight – with a huge carnival of colour, art and music running over ten terrific hours.
The spooktacular (sorry) event will see the sprawling beach club transformed into a dystopian playground featuring a specially created décor, extravagant outfits and talented DJs taking to the decks from the early afternoon into the night.
DJs Hosh and Lehar will be cranking out tunes on the terrace to help make this the hippest Halloween party in the UAE.
DJ and producer Hosh, who is a resident at the world’s dance capital Ibiza, brings a mix of styles to the turntable, including melodic house.
Lehar has roots in Romanticism and is always a firm favourite with revellers.
The duo will be joined by Blue Marlin Ibiza stalwarts DJs Frederick Stone Jixo & Danz DJ JEAN B and Aidin Karami who will keep the crowds pumped for an epic day-night Halloween event.

Bongo’s Bingo One of Dubai’s nuttiest nights out is returning for a Halloween special. On Thursday October 26, be prepared to be spooked at this bonkers bingo party. Expect ghouls and ghosts at the hilarious event, to be held once again at Media One Hotel’s ON42. So throw on your spookiest outfit and be prepared for a bingo rave like no other in existence. Candypants This fun loving JBR spot is hosting a Halloween megabrunch on Friday October 27. It has room for 800 brunchers, allegedly, and it’s going big on fancy dress. Not only are there prizes up for grabs for the best outfits, there’s even a Dhs45 discount on the brunch package to those coming in dress. Dusty’s This DIFC bar is running two events to celebrate the occasion. On Tuesday October 31, head to Dazzle ladies’ night, where there’s a free drink for anyone and everyone who dresses up (even gents). Fiesta De Los Muertos It’s literally a Halloween festival, what more could you be looking for? Get your costume sorted and head to Autism Rocks Arena for a huge day of gigs, headlined by none other than virtual band Gorillaz. IMG Worlds Of Adventure Ever wondered what makes a zombie apocalypse even scarier? McGettigan’s JLT Because McGettigan’s goes all out with pretty much everything it does, it’s no surprise to see the JLT branch transforming The Baggot into a house of horrors on Friday October 27, complete with elaborate backstory. Encounter the “wicked physician” Doctor Baggot, who has apparently been banned from general practice so lurks around The Baggot conducting a range of weird experiments. Get kitted up in fancy dress and head down for a night where thousands of dirhams-worth of prizes will be given away, including bar tabs, brunches and more. Mr Miyagi’s Special themed menus for this week-long Halloween between Tuesday October 24 and Tuesday 31, plus a Halloween themed brunch on Friday 27. Nasimi Beach It’s called the Midnight Freakshow, hitting town on Thursday October 26 from 7pm to 3am. BBC Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard will be hitting the decks, as the beach club is transformed with “creepy circus acts, and clowns to rival Pennywise”. Those of us with an aversion to clowns, keep an eye out for the sad one who will be lurking in the shadows – but, thankfully, handing out coupons for free drinks at the bar. Nikki Beach Head down to Nikki Beach on Tuesday October 31, where for Dhs130, ladies will get six selected beverages to enjoy between 11am and 6pm, plus a complimentary lounging day bed. It’s worth pointing out though that reservations for ladies’ day can’t be made in advance, and day beds are available on a first come, first served basis – so get down early.

Publique This funky Souk Madinat spot is getting ready for fright night with a special Halloween-themed menu, dedicated dishes and drinks. There will be special mixed drinks available for Dhs30, selected shorts for only Dhs10, plus the intriguingly titled “flying bats cage”. Ruth’s Chris This is one we’re really excited about. The classic New Orleans-style steakhouse is swinging its doors open for a special murder mystery party on Tuesday October 31. The Irish Village The award-winning Irish pub hosts its annual Halloween party on Tuesday October 31. A family-friendly event, entry is free and there are prizes for the best-dressed male, female and child, as well as “fangtastic” (groan) Halloween games for all ages. Toy Room There’s a special ladies’ night at the Toy Room, where you can expect a Stranger Things inspired night. The club says you will “enter a new dimension and get lost in the Frankside Down, a world where your deepest fears become reality”. Treehouse Taj Dubai will be hosting the Haunted Treehouse on Tuesday October 31, which will feature a range of Halloween-inspired beverages, plus pumpkins, cobwebs and an array of tricks and treats. Warehouse One of the city’s most pumping party brunches is transforming into a house of horrors for the scariest night of the year. Wild Wadi Fridays and Saturdays through October, and the big day itself on Tuesday October 31, will be Trick or Treat at Wild Wadi Waterpark.
