Time Out has news of a Paris Hilton hotel to open in Dubai, according to reports. See pictures of the Paris Beach Club in the Philippines
Paris Hilton, the original ‘It’ girl, seems to be a lot more business-savvy than she would have had a lot of us think.
Even though the 35-year-old socialite doesn’t grace quite as many magazine covers as she did a decade back, she’s been following in her father and grandfather’s footsteps and seems set on building a hotel empire.
According to Forbes Magazine, Paris will soon set up luxury hotels in New York, Las Vegas and of course Dubai, all of which will carry her name.
The star of The Simple Life reality TV show (the one in which Hilton and her friend Nicole Richie had a go at living a more rustic lifestyle in Middle America) already has experience in running her own hotel, having partnered up with Century Properties in the Philippines and designed a Paris Beach Club for their Azure Urban Resort Residence.
Another resort in the north of the country is currently being built, all the hotel’s towers individually modelled on Paris’s favourite beach locations: Bali, St. Barths., Santorini, Barbados.
This gives us an indication of what to expect from Paris’s Dubai project, likely to ooze the style and glamour of a woman that’s jetsetted and travelled 5-star all her life.
Before you jump to the conclusion that the Hilton heir lacks business acumen, bear in mind that her line of fragrances have grossed a whopping $1.5 billion and that she has 50 boutiques around the world.
Maybe Paris has dropped the ‘it’ tag for good?
