Three-year project will see every single room redesigned, plus Nasimi Beach
The entire Atlantis The Palm resort at the tip of Palm Jumeirah is about to undergo an absolutely mammoth revamp, including every room from top to bottom and a number of its outlets.
Costing the hotel roughly US$100 million (Dhs367 milliion), every single one of the 1,539 rooms at the iconic resort are set for a redesign, with completely up to date and contemporary features.
Each room will see the installation of a 49-inch flat screen TV, and brand new carpets and furniture being fitted. Each bathroom will include marble basins and free standing bathtubs, while the refurbishment is also due to extend to each balcony too, although details of that are yet to be announced.
It has also been revealed that Nasimi Beach, Ayamna Bar and The Imperial Club are due to be redesigned.
Serge Zaalof, COO of Atlantis Resorts & Residences, said a strong start to the year for the hotel will hopefully continue with the arrival of new rooms and suites.
“Such a positive start to 2017 is encouraging and with our continued efforts to enhance the guest experience we are confident that the rest of the year will be successful,” he said. "Our aim is to constantly innovate with the new room offering as well as the re-design of restaurants and bars we will wow our guests and exceed expectations.”
The project is due to begin imminently following the awarding of the design and refurbishment contract, and 50 rooms and suites will be refurbished every six weeks, ready in time for Expo 2020. Scroll through the pictures at the top of the page!
