New app lets you rent a hotel room by the hour in Dubai

New app lets you rent a hotel room by the hour in Dubai

A new app has launched in the UAE that will allow you to rent a hotel room by the hour, rather than by the night.

It’s a good way to cut your bill if you are only having a short stopover, for example at the airport before a flight.

ByHours, a Spanish hotel reservation platform, has been launched in the UAE and already has 65 Dubai hotels on its books.

Or if you fancy a short trip to Abu Dhabi, there are five hotels to choose from there.

But the discounts aren't necessarily proportional. For example, at the Eureka Hotel in Deira, a room for three hours is priced at Dhs73 while the full rate is Dhs135 including taxes.

Founded in 2012, the firm has around 2,500 hotels on its roster across Europe and the world.

It is available to download in the Apple App Store and on Google Play now.

App founder Christian Rodriguez said: “ByHours.com came about from my own experience as a user.

"Most hotel chains are willing to adapt to the necessities of their guests in terms of needs, tastes and lifestyle, but they were inflexible with regards to the hours where you can check in and check out; especially when your flight is first thing in the morning.”

This certainly seems like a good solution to us.
