The hotel will undergo an extensive revamp and reopen in October
Jumeirah Beach Hotel will be closing its doors over the summer.
The popular family-friendly hotel will be shut from tomorrow (Friday May 11) until October while it undergoes a major refurbishment.
“The ultimate family lifestyle destination, Jumeirah Beach Hotel is to undergo a significant makeover this summer,” said a spokesman for the hotel. “The hotel will stop receiving guests to allow for complete a renovation, covering guest bedrooms and suites, public areas and restaurants.”
Jumeirah Beach Hotel will relaunch in October in time for its 21 anniversary celebrations and the team promises “a new, modern and fresh look to this much-loved Dubai landmark”.
Fans of waterparks, fear not, Wild Wadi will remain open during the summer, operating as normal, as will Talise Fitness and Café.
All the restaurants, including D&A, Latitude, Beachcombers and La Parilla, will also be shut during the renovation.
All 425 rooms will be revamped, along with the lobby and pool. When it reopens the hotel will have a focus on light, with plenty of blues, whites and golds, says operator Jumeirah.
Meanwhile Dubai institution 360° Dubai will close its doors for good tomorrow (Friday May 11).
The final party for the popular al fresco club takes place on Friday May 11 and will feature a back-to-back brunches – from 3pm until 6pm and 8pm-11pm – constant DJ sets and plenty of dancing. Music will be spun by Rone Jaxx, CN Williams and Jack Woodcock.
Brunch is priced at Dhs295 and includes pan-Asian bar bite such as sushi and dim sum.
It’s time to wave goodbye to a 13-year-old party place forever.
