Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort & Towers
Stylish resort property with a good stretch of sand and spacious gardens Discuss this article
Currently the furthest beach property from the city (although this is likely to change with Dubai’s constant expansion) the Sheraton is a stylish resort property with a good stretch of sand, decent beach club, spacious gardens and a fine swimming pool.
Popular with European package tourists, the hotel blurs the five-star lines with the overall feel more comfortable than lavish; indeed, it’s hard to believe it belongs in the same class as the Mirage. Rooms are large and overlook either the sea and resort area or the rather less pleasing building sites of the developing Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence.
Still, it’s a great-value place for those looking to escape the trappings of inner-city vacations, which is just as well as a taxi ride into town will set you back a fair whack.
