Majestic Hotel Tower
Towering hotel on the outskirts of Dubai's busy souk and heritage district Discuss this article
This relatively new hotel is well positioned for exploring the historical Bastakia Quarter and is only a short taxi ride away from the five star strips of Sheikh Zayed Road and Jumeirah.
There’s not much to complain about, but there’s not much to get overly excited about either. Rooms are spacious enough and Arabian accented – think varnished wooden floors and rich, opulent furnishings. Adding to the Majestic’s appeal is a spacious pool area – you’ll have no trouble finding a spot in the sun.
Our main bugbear here is the dearth of lifts. Two lifts service 28 floors, so expect to queue and be prepared for it to take 10 minutes to reach your room. Note also that the Majestic runs a tight ship; visitors aren’t allowed after 10pm. This aside, the Majestic Hotel Tower is a fine option for those wanting to be based in Bur Dubai.
