If you go down to the woods today – or, rather, if you go down to the Aviation Club on December 12 – you’ll be sure of a big surprise. Time Out Kids is hosting its second Teddy Bears’ Picnic, and, if last year’s event was anything to go by, you’re in for an afternoon of sheer bear-faced fun.

Come and shake paws with Elliott, the furry face of the Time Out Kids’ team, and don’t forget to bring along your own teddy bear – there’ll be loads of competitions for your cuddly friends to enter, including biggest, smallest, best dressed, most loved, best preserved, most unusual and ugliest, so even half-chewed, dribble-coated bears are in with a chance.

It’ll be a fantastic afternoon, with train rides, a football shoot-out, rodeo bull and endless chances to win on our games stalls. Plus there’ll be sporty events for the whole family to enjoy, including the big foot race, the clown relay and the hilarious ‘key to the chest’ water game. Stilt walkers and balloon benders will be on hand to entertain, and there’ll be puppet shows and magic displays, as well as bouncy castles and face painting.

All mums and dads will need to bring is a rug to sit on so you’re comfy when you tuck in to our delicious picnic tea – much tastier than plain-old porridge and honey.
