Buy your tickets for The Nutcracker
It’s exactly a month until Christmas Day – get in the festive spirit by buying your tickets for seasonal ballet The Nutcracker, which will be at the First Group Theatre from December 15 to 17. The performance by the prestigious Vienna Festival Ballet Company tells the tale of Clara, whose nutcracker toy magically transforms into a soldier that whisks her away to an enchanted land.

Take to the water in a home-made boat
The fourth annual ‘Whatever Floats Your Boat’ competition takes place today. Organised in conjunction with the Emirates Wildlife Society, resourceful local schools and businesses will be competing to race their home-made rafts to promote environmental awareness and the benefits of recycling.
