Treat the family to a festive grill night
Head to Fountain restaurant at the Mövenpick in Bur Dubai. From tonight until Christmas Eve, the little terrors will be entertained by the animators from Action Care in the kids’ club area, while you dine on roast turkey, duck liver parfait and all manner of tasty festive dishes.

Meet Santa at Wafi City
There’s only a few days left until the man in red makes his deliveries, so make sure to get those wishes in before it’s too late by visiting his grotto at Wafi. He’ll be there with his toy soldiers, and Dhs55 will get a photo with Father Christmas, a cuddly toy soldier and a pass for the Encounter Zone theme park, plus refreshments for kids and their parents.

Santa visits Ski Dubai
Father Christmas has been in residence on the slopes of Ski Dubai since December 18, but it’s his last day today, where he’ll be on hand to meet kids and find out about their Christmas wishes. There’ll also be carol singers, and don’t miss the chance to get last-minute goodies at the Kempinski gingerbread shop.

Start Christmas a day early with dinner at Kaleidoscope
Book a festive Christmas Eve dinner at this Atlantis venue. After helping yourself to the buffet, which includes yuletide fare as well as international cuisine, make sure the kids pay a visit to Santa for a photo session before he takes to his sleigh to start delivering those presents. Celebrate with afternoon tea at Lobby Lounge
If you can bear to leave the sofa after a hearty Christmas lunch, head to the Lobby Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton Dubai. Little ones aged five to 12 can help the chef decorate his gingerbread house, then enjoy afternoon tea with Christmas treats. The choir will sing carols from 6pm to 7pm.

Visit the festive market at the Madinat
Meet Santa at the Madinat Jumeirah’s famous Souk Festive Market. Expect Christmassy activities for all the family, with a Christmas train station, winter forest, snowball throwing, T-shirt painting, Christmas movies and balloon bending. There will also be stalls selling gifts, and plenty of food and beverage stands.

Head to Global Village with the family
Have you paid a visit to Global Village yet? With pavilions from more than 30 countries, it’s an opportunity to experience cultures from all over the world, with shows, shopping and regional cuisine. Mondays at Global Village are reserved for families.

Get arty at Ductac
In that post-Christmas slump, there’s another chance to get the kids off the sofa and doing something fun at the second instalment of the Ductac Winter Camp. Running until December 29, they can have a go at all manner of arts and crafts, from ceramics to drawing and painting, with art supplies and ‘Arts Camp’ T-shirt included in the price.

Ladies’ shopping day at Oasis Centre
If it’s time for belt tightening after a festive blow-out, pop along to the Oasis Centre for your weekly shop. Every Wednesday, the mall holds a women-only shopping fiesta, with discounts galore across all stores, including fashion, footwear, food and kids’ entertainment. Babyshop will also be offering a gift voucher worth Dhs50 to all customers who spend more than Dhs250 in store.
