Family deals in Dubai

Discounts, deals and ideas for mums, dads and tots to enjoy

Take a look at our regular page of discounts, deals and ideas for mums, dads and tots to enjoy either as a family, one-to-one with junior or blissfully alone, morning noon or night.

For the kids

Funky Monkeys Playland
Take the little darlings for a run about in the huge jungle-themed jungle gym at Funky Monkeys Playland at Safestway Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road. Not only is there plenty of space for them to throw themselves around, there are also lots of free activities laid on by the staff. Think organized basketball matches, arts and crafts and much more besides. Plus, at Dhs25 per monkey, it’s not really to be sniffed at.

Zebra Crossing membership
At a loose end on a regular basis? Why not sign the sprogs up for a three-month membership at Zebra Crossing? For the bargainous amount of the Dhs200 per nipper, the kids can enjoy unlimited access to the play centre, which includes an extensive soft play area and activities room, as well as a café where mums can chill and chat. Brilliant!

Mini Monsters
We love Mini Monsters, basically because there are so many cool deals to be had all week long. However, the best days to go are Sunday to Tuesday, from 9am to 2pm, because all play is completely free – yes – FREE! And while the sprogs do their worst in the huge jungle gym, dress-up area and soft play, mums can enjoy a decent cup of coffee together, or even stay for lunch, as the café serves up an array of bites – and personally, we really rate the wood oven pizzas.

Evenings and weekends

Nomad brunch
We’re big fans of this one because kids under 12 go free! Yes, that means your mini band of tweenage termites can do their worst and attempt to demolish the impressive international buffet, at no extra cost at all. We’re talking Asian, Italian, Japanese and European fodder, as well as a deliciously huge dessert station, where you can get fantastic homemade ice creams. At Dhs195 per person for the driver’s package, it’s a bargain family brunch. Plus, there’s a bouncy castle, cupcake decorating and wii stations to play on too. 12-4pm, Nomad, Jumeirah Creekside.

Green Community Family Fun Day
Spend your Saturday on May 11 at the Green Community Family Fun Day. There’s a flea market flogging all types of treasures, a kids market, where children can trade among themselves (their stalls are also free of charge) and there’s a craft fair too. If you’re planning on a clear-out and want to make a quick buck, or if you fancy picking up a bargain and teaching the kids how to trade too, this is a great place to visit.
Free. 9am-6pm, The Green Community. Saturday May 11. (04 884 8520).

Without the kids

Pastels pedis
Calling all mums! Enjoy some pampering downtime after the school run with a 20 per cent discount on the PerfectSense Paraffin treatment when you book for a mani and a pedi together. We reckon all mums deserve to put their feet up ones in a while, so why not get the babies pampered at the same time too? Plus, there’s a discount – so no guilt trip either. Pastels salons are located in Jumierah (Al Wasl Road), Ritz Carlton and Mercato Mall. Offer is running until May 31.

Choosy Tuesdays at The Address
On Choosy Tuesdays, mums get a whopping 40 per cent off all 50 minute or more treatments at The Spa at The Address Dubai Marina. We think it’s the ultimate excuse to leave the grocery shopping until Wednesday, and to head there straight after the school run. Afterwards you can relax and use all the lovely facilities too, including saunas, steam rooms and more.
