Movies by the pool
Dive into the coolest movie experience by the pool at The Address Montgomerie Dubai. The kids can tuck into a tasty barbeque and delicious snacks while watching Madagascar 3 and you can lounge on inflatable chairs, in the pool or on the deck. Brilliant! Advanced booking essential.

Make a playdate at Le Petit Palais
The newest kid zone on the block for four- to- ten-year-olds, Le Petit Palais is a small French Village built to little tyke scale, housed inside Galeries Lafayette. There are a number of incredible areas to play in, from a real life supermarket and beauty salon to a petrol station and French Chateau, all dotted around super cute paved streets. For bigger kids, there is a ball-shooting activity and a soft play Toddler Town for the smaller ones.

Birthday celebrations at Dubai Dolphinarium
Take the little nippers to Dubai Dolphinarium, which is pulling out all the stops and celebrating its fifth birthday in style. Not only will the kids have an opportunity to check out the action-packed live shows featuring the graceful bottlenose dolphins and playful northern fur seals, they can also meet the latest addition to the Dolphinarium family, a baby male born on May 28, 2012. They can get involved in the baby dolphin naming competition too, as he doesn’t have a name yet. There are lots of prizes to be won during the celebrations that will appeal to the big kids too, like flights with Jet Airways, tickets to the UAE’s only mirror maze and much more. Don’t miss it.

Ripe kids market
The last Saturday of the month has rolled around once more and that can only mean one thing; kids market at Ripe! The freshest market in Dubai transforms into a tiny tot wonderland with a range of activities laid on to keep everyone happy. The kids can indulge in sand art, face painting and games with Operation Smile, while parents sip on fresh coffee and wander around the family-orientated vendor stalls.

Cooking classes at Play A Round
Little ones aged four to seven can embrace their inner Jamie Oliver with fun cooking lessons hosted by Lakeland at Play A Round. The classes are interactive and easy to follow with the kids using utensils from Lakeland’s ‘I can cook’ range, perfectly designed for little hands. Each class lasts for one hour and as they’ll be whipping up cupcakes and pizzas, amongst other things, parents will want to get in on the eating action afterwards. Advanced booking recommended.

Summer Luau party

Get your grass skirts and Hawaiian lei’s out and join Kidville, as they transform their amazing play zone into a tropical paradise for little ones. With lots of fun games on offer, yummy ice-cream sundaes, delicious mocktails and free play in the gym, it’s a tiny tot date not to be missed.

George’s Marvellous Medicine
Roald Dahl’s amazing story about a young boy who makes a marvellous new medicine to cure his grandmother of her terrifying temper, hits the stage in Dubai this week. With magically growing farm animals, crazy potions and a 30-foot Grandma, the incredible special effects have to be seen to be believed.

Fun times at Fun City
Take the little monsters for a session at Lamcy Plaza’s Fun City – a multi-faceted edutainment centre with water play, sand play, a jungle gym, soft play area, a mini supermarket, little ones’ library and free kids’ cooking classes every hour. At Dhs40 per child with no additional costs, its brilliant value for a brood who want to be entertained all afternoon. Suitable for kids aged two to ten. There’s a café on site for mums and dads to relax in too.
