Workshop time at Little Explorers
Take the tiny tots to Little Explorers at any time of the day and book them in for fun, educational workshops run by experts. The 90 minute sessions include some crafty classroom time, plus a tour of the centre by Little Explorer’s helpers, who are all trained teachers or fully qualified to work with kids.

Fun times at Fun City
Book the little monsters for a session at Lou Lou al Dugongs, an edutainment centre with water play, sand play, a jungle gym, soft play and free cooking classes laid on every hour. Suitable for kids aged 2-10.

The Raffles Rascals Roast
Grubs up at Raffles and for a very good cause. This special themed version of the popular British Raffles Roast is to celebrate International Children’s Day and held in aid of Imad, a five-year-old boy born with multiple limb deficiencies. Raffles has created a kids’ party themed buffet with many of the popular offerings from the usual weekly British Roast. There is plenty to occupy the little ones including a playstation corner, face painting and a petting zoo.

Movies and munchies by the pool
Grab the kids and their swim gear and dive into a cool movie experience by the pool at The Address Montgomerie Hotel. Everyone can tuck into a tasty BBQ grub and delicious snacks while watching Ice Age, showing at 4.30pm or Scooby Doo, showing at 7.30pm. Choose to view from comfy inflatable chairs which work just as well in the pool as they do on the deck.

Neon mini-golf at Play-A-Round
Kids of all ages can enjoy this super fun activity at Play-A-Round, even very big kids. While away an hour pitching and putting while the tiny tots are entertained in the soft play area on site. Do you have big kids who prefer to play on their own? Play-A-Round has that covered too; parents can sit back and relax, have a coffee and enjoy the complimentary Wi-Fi while they do their worst. Lunch at the Rainforest Café
A great getaway for an hour or two, Rainforest Café has introduced a wild new menu that will appeal to parents and little nippers alike. Dig into the Jungle Steak & Shrimp and if you are feeling adventurous, try the spicy Raging Thunder Buffalo Wings. There’s traditional Spag Bol too if the kids are looking for something familiar and they’re sure to go weak at the knees for the signature desserts; the Sparkling Volcano, Monkey Business Bread Pudding or new Tuki’s Rocky Mountain Mousse. Aside from the yummy food, the Cafe has an interactive rainforest set up to keep kids entertained and also teach them about the various rainforest animals.

Fun and games at Bowling City
Make your way to Bowling City in Dubai Festival City for a great indoors day out. There’s a 12 lane bowling alley that allows kids as young as four to have a go – practice lanes with buffers are available to help them build their confidence too. Grab some grub at Italian eatery, Momento before deciding whether to spend the afternoon in the billiard room, the network and touch screen games centre or in the karaoke cabin.

Peanut butter bars at Magnolia Bakery
Pay a visit to Dubai Mall and treat the kids to Magnolia Bakery’s dessert of the month; yummy peanut butter bars. A rich thick layer of peanut butter batter topped with a delicious mixture of melted chocolate and more peanut butter all for just Dhs10 a piece! Feeling lazy? Give Magnolia’s delivery service a go.
