1 – Yoga
There can be few more idyllic settings to exercise than the lush green lawns of Safa Park when it’s waking up in the morning – so why not kick start your weekend with a Friday morning yoga session at the park with company Phoenix Rising?

Blending various styles of yoga, including Power, Vinyasa, and Hatha, the 75-minute classes are run on a charity donation basis, so that you only ever pay what you can afford.

2 – Boot camp
If you’re serious about toning up and boosting fitness levels, signing up to an outdoor boot camp is the perfect way to launch a healthy new regime. Attend regularly and the intense workout will burn fat, raise fitness levels, and tone up your body with impressive speed.

3 - Paddle boarding
Combining a full body workout with an hour on the water, there are few better ways to take advantage of Dubai’s beachside location than by taking up Paddle Boarding – and Ignite Surf School UAE is the company to teach you how to do it.

Located at Riva Beach Club on Palm Jumeirah, the 60-minute session includes 15 minutes of tuition, before you are free to try out the skill for yourself on the water with your instructor close by.

4 – Aqua aerobics
Aqua Aerobics might look asy, but it’s highly effective at burning fat and lowering resting heart rate and blood pressure – and it doesn’t put any pressure on your joints, as the water lifts 90 per cent of your body weight.

Head to Dubai Ladies Club, where non-members are just as welcome to join in with the club’s fitness classes in the large ocean-view pool.

5 - Buggy fit
If childcare is hard to come by, why not take bubs along with you? PURE Fitness UAE run BuggEfit classes in Safa Park, The Palm Park, and Al Barsha Park in the cooler months.Your buggy will act as resistance during the series of exercises, which helps to firm and tone your back, abdominal muscles, pelvic floor muscles, legs, bottom and tummy. It’s also great for building a support group of new friends.
