Pamper and play
Little princess’ dreams come true at Kidz Palooza’s spa party, says Carolyne Allmark
You can’t go too far wrong with the tried and tested formula of a play centre party, complete with food, goodie bags and a bunch of exhausted kids at the end of it. But now there’s a new player on the block determined to raise the bar with their new play and spa pamper party package for the girliest of girls and their bunch of besties.
The Palooza spa party package includes a range of treatments, including manicures, pedicures, make-overs and hair styling in their newly opened spa in the play area, by the café. The spa operates as a professional salon for grown-ups, as well as their mini-mes. It has plenty of treatments, plus child-safe products and beautifully lit, polished interiors. Also, once they’ve been pampered, the kids are free to burn off some energy in the play area then head to the themed party room for games, food and a fashion show!
There’s a brilliant Lego zone, dress-up area, gaming room and a great shop selling educational crafts and toys. And the parents’ room is available to reserve for anyone wishing to stay for the party and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat.
Owner Diana Lombardi is a mum of two and passionate about serving organic, low-sugar, healthy meals and snacks, and this is reflected in the menu. Pick your food beforehand and it will be served in the party room along with themed goodie bags.
The minimum number of children for a Palooza spa party package is 15 and the maximum is 40 kids (good luck with that!). The price is Dhs130 per child from Sunday to Wednesday and then Dhs150 per child from Thursday to Saturday.
If you’ve been meaning to get their hair cut, book them into the play area’s funky kids’ hair salon before you go.
It’s fun, different and really good value for money. This is one they’ll be giddy in the playground about long after the neon pink nail polish has worn off.
