Aladdin on stage

Kidzania Heritage

Kidzania is launching a destination for children called the Heritage Village where children can experience a range of activities including pearl hunting, henna and jewellery threading.

Kids Fest hits town

Get down to Global Village this month for a series of specially created activities, games and entertainment for young guests, as part of their new Kids Fest programme. Meet your favourite characters, see exciting dance performances and try the obstacle-course bouncy castles and the rides of Fantasy Island.

Just a spoonful of sugar

LEGOLAND Water Park opens!

See the Joker Soaker, have a go on more than 20 slides, splash about in the LEGO Wave Pool and even build your very own custom LEGO raft - it’s all happening down at LEGOLAND Dubai Water Park, which opened its doors to eager friends and family last month in Dubai Parks & Resorts. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, this part of the park also boasts two very family-friendly restaurants.

The Buggy Run

Dubai Motor City’s Autodrome will play host to the first-ever Buggy Run – a social, family-friendly event created by two fitness enthusiasts who share a passion for combining parenting with exercise. It’s an untimed 2.5km and 5km run with buggies (of course), for all ages and fitness levels, so you can walk, jog, sprint or skip your way to the finish.

The Lego Batman Movie

Kids eat for free!

Super-cool café Arrows and Sparrows has launched a kids’ menu and the little ones eat for free when accompanied by grown-ups ordering from the scrummy main menu. Children can tuck into favourites like chicken nuggets and mashed potato, and toast with peanut butter and banana. And you can enjoy a 100 percent organic raw coffee. Win-win.

Starry-eyed Valentine’s dinner

Does it get any more romantic than a candlelit dinner under the stars (as opposed to leftovers from the kids’ dinner in front of the telly)? Argentinian restaurant Asado has launched a specially-crafted menu selection to celebrate the month of love with a live band and views of the Dubai Fountains to top off the atmosphere. Go on, book a babysitter now — you know you want to.

Head in the clouds

Level Kids just got one notch cooler with the opening of Cloud 7, a stylish, educational, interactive centre for little shoppers aged four and upwards. There’s candle making, ceramic painting, soap Making and cake decorating as well as a Creative Garage, Building Block Assembly and an Interactive Digital Lab - the first of its kind in the region.

Gig of the year

Touch down

The Zurich Corporate Touch 6s Tournament 2017 is set to be an action-packed day. Twenty-eight teams from businesses across the UAE will battle it out to be crowned victorious and take home the prestigious tournament trophy. There will be a free kids’ tournament for the U9s and U11s, plus food trucks, live music and trampolines, too!

Food fans, listen up!

Fill your boots (or your flip flops) at the Food Truck JAM taking place around the city for three Saturdays, starting from Feb 11 this month. Discover tasty treats from 40 food trucks on tour as well as live performances and even a Truckers Market selling quirky handmade crafts and jewellery. The first stop will be Emirates Golf Club Feb 11, to Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club on February 18. The fiesta ends on the 25th at Emirates Golf Club.

Abu Dhabi Tour
