If you’ve been holding back from eating out too much (both for waistline- and wallet-watching measures) in the post-Christmas period, you (like us) will be happy that it’s now February.

And with a new year comes a whole host of fresh menus, none more exciting than at Circle Café, which introduces a brand new list of kids’ dishes this month.

With the help of culinary expert Farah Sawaf, founder of Cooking with a Manicure, as well as a handful of little taste-testers, the exciting menu features plenty of healthy and fun dishes. The former include stuffed cucumbers (Dhs25), which is a great way to get your kids eating their greens. Two de-cored, juicy and crispy cucumbers are filled with chopped roasted turkey, mild cheddar and fig jam. The latter include pizza muffins (an excellent combo, we say) or skewerless chicken skewers (safety first, and all that).

However, what most catches our eye is the eggy bagel. Circle has scooped out the centre of its signature bagels and replaced the dough with an eggy, cheesy, veggie-based mixture, kind of omelette-esque, for ease of description. They are then baked, resulting in a warm, toastie-like dish.

Perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner, plus the vegetable addition ensures that the kids are still getting some of their five-a-day in February, without moaning about it.

If that doesn’t appeal, though, your little ones can always opt for an open-faced bagel at Dhs15, smothered with staples including peanut butter and jam or Nutella.

We’ll see you there, then...
