Sometimes you just need something a little more exciting to tempt fussy eaters, or even just to brighten up meal times. Step in, Mövenpick. The global hotel and resorts chain has recently launched “Mövenpick Family”, a new worldwide programme designed to help families – whether they are visiting the UAE or are residents – have more fun and less stress.

As well as special kids’ channels and babysitting services, what piques our interest is the fun, healthy menus that are on offer for kids aged two to 12 years old. “We have every family amenity and service covered so that parents can relax and concentrate on spending quality time together,” says Mövenpick’s Paul Mulcahy.
And that includes the Power Bites menu, which offers nutritious dishes designed to “inspire fun food experiences” – from tomato caterpillars and fresh fruit snakes to rice-faced lions. (For real.)

We especially love the look of this bird’s nest meatball dish. Made from lean steak mince, the little chick meatballs are set in a spaghetti nest, inside which lurks some fresh, homemade tomato sauce, containing no preservatives, so you know it’s all top-quality, healthy goodness.

The eyes are made from mozzarella and black olives, with yellow pepper for the beaks. Plus, you can choose to substitute the spaghetti with a whole wheat version, should you prefer.

Fun, tasty and healthy – it surely can’t fail to delight your little ones, right?
