The Dubai Garden Centre has just become more fashionable, having branded the first floor of its Sheikh Zayed Road branch into mini shopping destination, The Mezzaine. This is where we find Beach Hut, a store packed with quirky buys for people who love the sand. The store began life online created by Sarah Twort, a New Zealand mum and business mogul who sources quality products from the Southern Hemisphere to bring to the UAE. Sharing her story with us, it’s clear that Twort is super excited about becoming a small store owner and is looking forward to a successful partnership with the Dubai Garden Centre.

“Back in 2015, I became a distributor for the award-winning Snapper Rock, a UV50+ swimwear and accessories brand from New Zealand,” she tells us. “This sold well so I decided to go that extra step and launch my own brand, Beach Hut. Although there is a lot of momentum with online shopping, I find people still like to touch products before they purchase them, especially when they are new to the brand. This is the first Beach Hut retail outlet and so far been it’s been a great experience.”

There are all sorts of wonderful things to splurge on here. Get the kids a giant inflatable swan then treat yourself to a brand new bikini. There’s also a good selection of cool board shorts, rash vests and cover-ups so the whole family can be stylish and burn-free.
Open daily 9am-6pm, Dubai Garden Centre, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai (050 534 6807).
