It’s not often that you’ll find a place to satisfy your kids that’s also got its finger on the pulse of current health food trends. Enter Hapi.

It’s best known for its deliciously rich and fragrant bone broths that have been making waves across the city (and are also available to buy to store in your fridge) and which you should make a point of ordering. Add rice noodles and mushrooms for a light, nutritious and filling meal (though maybe don’t mention the “bone” bit to the pickier kids).

The rest of the menu is full of simple, wholesome dishes like chargrilled chicken and sides like grilled veggies and pineapple salsa. If you fancy a treat, however, there are burgers and hot dogs, too – made from grass-fed beef or hot smoked organic salmon and piled high with deliciously fresh toppings.

Puddings are just as good. There’s soft-serve ice-cream with toppings such as passion fruit and coconut or salted caramel and chocolate crunch, as well as a range of iced yoghurt lollies in creamy, fruity flavours and coated in chocolate.

The space is sparse and industrial so you needn’t worry about energetic kids running around or making a mess, and the patient staff are brilliant with the little ones. Hapi’s an easy option that is certain to please the whole family.
Open Sat-Thu 8am-10pm. Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz(04 225 1807).

The bottom line
A fuss-free spot for a delicious meal.
