Brunches are among our favourite things to do in Dubai and, best of all, they always have some kid-friendly aspects. We’ve spotted three new ones and you’ll be happy to know that the kids will have a blast!

Sail the high seas at Address Dubai Marina’s Pirates and Mermaids Family Brunch

Mazina was well-known for its Superheroes Brunch, but now it’s replacing comic book characters with pirates and mermaids. Every Saturday, you can join in the fun and make a splash at this new family-friendly brunch. Kids can go dressed as their favourite sea-dwelling characters and enjoy themed fare, entertainment and a bouncy castle. They can then follow the map to find the buried treasure, get a temporary tattoo, and learn some new magic tricks with resident magician Magic Phil.
Dhs330 (soft drinks), Dhs460 (house beverages), Dhs622 (bubbly), free (kids aged five and below). Sat 12.30pm-3.30pm. Address Dubai Marina (04 888 3444).

Munch on Italian fare at Carluccio’s, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel

This is the Italian eatery’s first brunch so you can imagine everyone’s excitement over an all-you-can-eat pizza party. Available at its newest restaurant, and first licensed outlet in Dubai, the Jumeriah Creekside Hotel branch will be hosting The Family Grazing Brunch. The new-in-town, kid-friendly option will include a kids’ corner with a gelato cart, face-painting and balloon fun for little ones. Families will get to enjoy interactive food stations and there will be free-flowing hops, grape and sparkling grape on the outlet’s terrace.
Dhs195 (soft drinks), Dhs345 (selected hops, grape and sparkling grape), free (kids under 12). Fri noon-3.30pm. Starting Jan 19. Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Garhoud (04 230 8555).

Check out the newly re-opened Nineteen at Address Montgomerie

There’s a new Mediterranean menu in town! Nineteen’s chef de cuisine Giuliano Berta will bring some fresh flavours, colours and garden-picked ingredients to brunchers’ tables. Some of the delicacies on the menu include roasted Hokkaido scallops, fresh Greek and summer salads, ocean beef tenderloin and traditional tiramisu – hungry yet? Best of all, it’s a sharing concept so families can enjoy it over a chat.
Dhs290 (soft drinks), Dhs380 (house beverages), Dhs290 (kids aged six to 12, free (kids aged five and under). Fri and Sat 12.30pm-3.30pm. Address Montgomerie, Emirates Hills (04 390 5600).
