Gadgets, gizmos and… guinea pigs, this Disney animated comedy adventure, G-force delves into a covert government programme to train animals to work in espionage. Armed with the latest high-tech spy equipment, these highly trained guinea pigs discover that the fate of the world is in their paws. Their mission from the US government? To stop an evil billionaire who plans to take over the world with household appliances. The all-star cast includes the voices of Nicolas Cage as Speckles the mole, a computer and information expert, Penelope Cruz as Juarez, a sexy, martial arts pro and Sam Rockwell as Darwin, G-Force squad leader.
Mother Daughter Dance Competition
Fed up with practising your dance moves day in day out and having no one around to appreciate them? Put your grooves to the test as mother-daughter teams battle it out in this family-friendly dance-off at Lamcy Plaza, 7pm.

Ice Cream Social
Trot down to Mercato Mall this weekend (and July 30-Aug 1) from 4pm-10pm daily for an interactive kids’ show while 1950s-style ice cream parlour roller girls dish out the sweet stuff from 6.30pm.

Kids Fashion Week
If you’re feeling so hot and bothered that all you want to do is lie around in the air conditioning in your underwear, pull yourself together and take the kids down to fashion week at Deira City Centre. Plenty of the mall’s trendy kids’ stores, such as Okaidi Obaibi, Adams and Gap will be showing off their latest collections, so even if you’re feeling anything but cool, there’s no excuse for not looking the part. Kids from Modhesh Friends Club will be strutting their stuff on the catwalk and organisers will be on the hunt for the best models in town. Fashion week runs from July 24-30 from 6pm-9pm daily.

Bob the Builder & the Sunflower Sailor

African Children’s Choir
This inspirational choir is made up of singers aged between seven and eleven years, every one of them having lost one or both parents to poverty or disease. Performing around the globe to amazed audiences, these kids bring a smile to all who are lucky enough to hear them while also raising awareness of the plight of children in Africa. The group tours Dubai’s malls until August 3. Imagine with Elmo
We’re thrilled to see Elmo live in Dubai, especially as he’s bringing some of his pals from Sesame Street along too. Until August 4 catch Elmo, along with Bert, Ernie, Zoey, Grover and Cookie at the BurJuman Mall for a series of 30-minute sing-a-long, dance-a-long shows and a chance to meet and greet some of the cast.
