The Greens

What’s the area like?
Was it a practical joke to call rows and rows of identical apartment blocks ‘The Greens’? Misnomers aside, what the area lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in spacious, low-rise apartments.

Amenities
It’s more of a dormitory zone for Media City workers, so don’t expect a thriving street scene. That said, apartment blocks all have decent gyms and children’s play areas, there is a Choithrams store nearby and the Organic Foods & Café.

Best for
Young professionals.

Pros
You’re not far from the capital, the flats represent good value, most buildings overlook pools or a golf course (from The Views) and you’re well placed for Dubai Marina.

Cons
To put it mildly, it’s not exactly the most visually inspiring place to live. Plus the traffic often clogs up getting in and out.
Average cost of a two-bed apartment at The Greens: To rent Dhs95-100,000. To buy Dhs1.7million.
