Get the truth about the Snow Patrol and Athlete in Dubai rumours
The Chi gig that was rumoured to play host to Snow Patrol on February 5 has been postponed to the end of the month.
But that doesn’t mean Snow Patrol will be in town any time soon. It emerges that the UK band were, despite the claims of some other media outlets, never actually booked to play at the Dubai club. No – they were only in talks with promoters in Dubai, and a contract away from making the whole thing official.
With time ticking down, promoters were looking last night at replacing the band with Ivor Novello-winning London band Athlete but instead chose to postpone the gig to ‘sometime towards the end of February’. Exactly who’ll be playing the gig is unknown.

I think they should definitely come to Dubai, but NOT play at Chi @ The Lodge.
Hell, Athlete shouldn't play Chi @ The Lodge either.
It's just because then it would become a night club scene, which Athlete definitely isn't - they're really indie rock, not dancy music.
Same with Snow Patrol.
And both the Patrol and Athlete probably have loads of fans who are UNDER 21.
Same thing happened with Dubai Sound City - teens got to miss out on the Super Furries and Doves and Echo & The Bunnymen and so many more!
