Madonna performs in Abu Dhabi

Queen of Pop confirms UAE gig in June Comments

Madonna will perform in Abu Dhabi in the summer.

The Queen of Pop, one of the most successful touring artists of all time, will perform at the capital’s Yas Arena on June 3.

Tickets, priced at Dh350, will go on sale on February 27.

The show will be just her second stop on the Madonna World Tour, which covers arenas in Quebec, Australia, London, Paris, Milan and Berlin.

The announcement of Madonna’s tour follows her Super Bowl halftime performance and release of her new single, Give Me All Your Luvin’, from her highly-anticipated new album MDNA.

The worst organized concert I have experienced in the UAE. Definitely oversold, with crowds clambering, pushing and shoving. Gate control a misery with the same crowd overload effect, and to top it all off, a 1h 45 min wait in the heat for the show to start.

The show itself had incredible visual effects and the sound was stupendous. But the anti-religious connotations, the violence and blood ... a bit over the top.
Overall, I did not particularly enjoy it.

Just shows that the girl can still knock em dead at her age of 50+, bit like me, Great result for the UAE.
