With a start date for Ramadan yet to be confirmed, the majority of Dubai’s clubs will remain closed tonight.

The night before the Holy Month begins is traditionally a ‘dry’ night. As of this afternoon, a start date for Ramadan remained unconfirmed, but the Holy Month was expected to start on Friday July 20.

Most club-owners across the city told Time Out they were not planning to open tonight.

Clubs and bars closed until after Ramadan include:

Alegra
Armani/Privé
Boudoir
Cavalli Club
Chi@The Lodge
Cirque du Soir
Mansion
Movida
N’Dulge
People by Crystal
Repulique
Trilogy
Velvet Underground
Zinc

The Maplejacks' gig, planned for this evening at the Irish Village in Garhoud, has also been cancelled. More to follow.
