Ten-time Grammy nominees Megadeth will headline Gulf Bike Week 2012 at Dubai Festival City next month.
The heavy metal legends will be joined by four-time American Music Awards winner Daughtry and Brit indie rock band Razorlight at the festival, which takes place on October 18 and 19.
Megadeth will take to the stage on the first day of the festival, with support from Dubai’s own resident rock bands Absolace and Sandwash. Daughtry and Razorlight take over the next day, supported by Juliana Down.
Tyler Mervyn, managing director of organisers Live Nation Middle East, said: “After a year hiatus from the Gulf Bike Festival, Live Nation is thrilled to once again be working with Clarion and ecstatic to announce the concert series line-up for Gulf Bike Week 2012.
“We recognise that there is been a major void in Live Rock and Metal music scene in Dubai. We put together this lineup with that in mind. We feel the concerts will appeal to everyone; bikers, rockers or otherwise.”
Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell said: "We're excited about the show in Dubai. Playing live is what Razorlight do best and it’s great to be in a part of the world we've never visited before, and even better to be at a bike festival. It'll be a fantastic day."
Tickets start at Dhs295 and can be purchased at www.livenation.ae from Sunday September 23.
