Fashion label goes pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This week: new Ralph Lauren feel-good range, Chiara Ferrangi and a MoF festival.
To coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ralph Lauren’s (04 330 8347) range of feel-good Pink Pony buys (which feature a pink version of the label’s iconic insignia) will be available in the UAE for the first time starting in October.
The American designer first launched the initiative in 2000 to help ensure everyone has equal access to cancer treatment. Here in Dubai, 25 percent of sales from Pink Pony products will be donated to local charity and breast cancer awareness advocates Pink Caravan.
Meanwhile, Chiara Ferragni, the Italian blogger of The Blonde Salad (www.theblondesalad.com) which boasts over 1.3 million followers on Instagram, will be at the S*uce store at The Dubai Mall on Thursday October 10 for a meet and greet with fans. The 25-year-old model and fashion writer is in Dubai to attend the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience and will kick-start her visit with an appearance at the eclectic boutique.
Lastly, as The Dubai Mall prepares for its biggest fashion event yet on October 10, Mall of the Emirates (04 377 2000) is getting ready for its own shindig of sorts. The ten-day World of Fashion festival will feature runway shows, live makeover transformations, expert style talks and an appearance by Arab singer Nancy Arjam.
