This week: A Lush in-store event, a new shopping centre and Comptoir 102 sale.
King of soap, beauty and all other smelly things Lush (04 435 6114) is now hosting in-store parties and personal shopping experiences for its customers. Shoppers can choose from three packages, including an hour-and-a-half lesson in skin and hair for Dhs275 per person, an in-store personal shopping experience for Dhs175 per person and a fun and games package, which features a tour of the store and fun games and activities. Those not sure they can stand the fruity smells for long stints can now instead buy gift vouchers for their loved ones to enjoy at home.
Meanwhile, Damac Properties (www.damacproperties.com) has plans to build a new upscale shopping, dining and entertainment centre around the Trump International Golf Club, construction of which is set to be completed by the end of 2015. AKOYA by Damac will be home to a 26,000 sq ft Waitrose, dry cleaners, fashion stores, a travel agency, casual dining options and cafés. The Trump development includes 4.3 million sq ft of private parkland, with luxury branded Fendi villas.
Lastly, they’ve been relatively mum about it, but cool French boutique Comptoir 102 (04 385 4555) is currently having a sale of up to 70 percent off. Get down there quick smart to nab deals on brands including Manebi, Jerome Dreyfuss and Tsumori Chisato.
