A new concept is coming to Gaucho restaurant in Dubai in the form of Indie lounge
A new concept is coming to Gaucho in Dubai.
Indie, which is a known brand in Beirut is making its way to the city after the summertime and will be located on the upper level of the Argentinian restaurant based in DIFC.
It’s the result of a collaboration with the makers of the famous Iris brand – which has Iris Dubai, Iris Yas Island and White Dubai. The Add-Mind group is also responsible for bringing the UK’s Toy Room venue here recently.
“We are truly excited for this partnership that aims to bring out the best of the two parties’ practices and put them together in a unique brand that’s never been seen or experienced before in Dubai,” Ross Butler, Director of International Operations for Gaucho, said.
Gaucho has many restaurants in the UK, as well as outlets in Hong Kong and Buenos Aires.
For the new venture, the restaurant’s cinema screenings will be moved downstairs to make way for Indie.
At the new place non-mainstream music will be played and exquisite cuisine is on the menu. The aim is to be very much a hub for fashion, art, design and interesting people. To help encourage that, Indie will provide entertainment with monthly events.
So what else can we expect from the fresh venture inside Gaucho? Perhaps their collaborator’s other brands are something to go by.
Rooftop bar, Iris, sits on top of The Oberoi Dubai and in the early evening the height affords a regal view of downtown. The space opens up from inside onto a large terrace, with wooden panel flooring, urban lighting designs and glass windows reminiscent of a greenhouse but with the minimalist look of a warehouse. The trendy venue has plants and flowers scattered throughout and a range of high-top tables.
Meanwhile Gaucho is known for its chrome fittings, monochrome palette and cow print chairs, plus of course, it is regularly packed with city slickers.
On the other hand, White, winner of the Best New Nightclub In Dubai 2015, is a decadent, exclusive concept under the stars, taking up a huge rooftop terrace away from the city at Meydan. This year the venue has seen acts such as Laidback Luke, Ace Hood and even DJ Tim Westwood.
