Date of second of the two Eid holidays could result in a four-day break for some UAE employees

Eid Al Adha, the latter of the two Eid holidays, is expected to start on September 23 which could result in a four-day break for some UAE workers, it was reported on Monday.
According to a UAE astronomer, Eid Al Adha will start on September 23 as the moon of Dhu Al Hijjah is expected on be sighted on September 13.
Eid Al Adha normally starts on the 10th of Dhu Al Hijjah, when millions of Muslims converge on Makkah for the annual pilgrimage, Emirates 24/7 reported.
Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Planetarium Manager at the Sharjah Department of Culture and Information, was quoted as saying: “This means that Dhu Al Hijjah moon will be seen on September 13 and Eid Al Adha will be on September 23.”
September 23 is a Wednesday, which means the public sector could have a four-day break before resuming work on September 27.
