The Illusionists return - new show set for November
Eight world class magicians to wow crowds at DWTC and Du Forum
Alchemy Project have announced the return of the hugely popular Illusionists show.
Dubbed 'The Golden Age Of Magic', The Illusionists 1903 will run in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar in November this year, with eight new world class magicians taking to the stage. Organisers it will celebrate 'the origins of some of the greatest and most dangerous illusions ever built'.
The Alchemist (Alberto Giorgi) is described as putting on a show straight from the pages of Tim Burton movie, while The Escapist (Krendl) does exactly what he says on the tin.
The Showman (Mark Kalin), who enjoyed success with his own experimental theatre show in Reno, Nevada, has developed from a sleight-of-hand magician to a giant stage presence using tigers, panthers and even an American Airlines plane, which he made disappear.
The show's only double-act, The Clairvoyants (Thommy Ten and Amelie van Tass), are an audience-interaction highlight, tapping into your innermost thoughts for the entertainment of a packed auditorium.
Panic not, though, the mood will be lightened by The Charlatan (Dana Daniels), hailed as one of the best comedian magicians working today, who brings experience of American TV slots with him.
The only female lead in the show, The Conjuress (Jinger Leigh), a former touring Disney dancer who has worked with the likes of Tony Bennett, The Beach Boys and Cab Callaway.
And finally, mischief comes in the form of The Eccentric (Charlie Frye), who wows viewers with a blend of silent comedy, juggling, slapstick and acrobatics.
'The show is a world first, with each of the international illusionists the best in their niche and together creating an impressive 19th century stage spectacular that will leave audiences spellbound,' Creative Producer Simon Painter explains.
This is the third time the Illusionist have entertained the UAE, with near sell-out crowds greeting both previous carnations of the show.
In 2014, the '2.0' show was hailed as "utterly thrilling" and "brain bendingly spectacular".
