DXBeach is back with a bang after the popular Zero Gravity music festival announced their return with DJ Fatboy Slim, Benny Benassi, MK and a sunset session from Zero 7.
Taking place on October 21, it is the first of two special events in the early part of the season, the second coming on November 18.
Beach party specialist Fatboy Slim, whose famous Big Beach Boutique events are stuff of the legend in the dance music scene, needs no introduction. Now 53 years old, but every bit the party animal he was in his prime, the iconic spinner and producer is a firm favourite in Dubai.
Also known as Norman Cook, he released his debut studio album Better Living Through Chemistry 20 years ago, for which a re-issued, re-mastered and updated version will be released on September 23.
Fans can expect the usual big beat party anthems in his set next month, as well as his own tunes like Praise You, Right Here Right Now and Funk Soul brother.
Joining Cook on the line-up is Detroit star MK, another legend of the game with more than two decades at the top. Most recently he returned to the spotlight with remixes of Wankelmut’s ‘My Head Is A Jungle’ and Lana Del Ray’s ‘Blue Jeans’ and ‘Summertime Sadness’.
Amd then there is Benny Benassi, known for the 2003 smash Satisfaction and numerous collaborations with mainstram pop figures.
Rounding things off our lazy house specialists Zero 7, who will lay the perfect soundtrack to as day shifts into night.
DXBeach launched back in April 2015 and has set the benchmark for big commercial sounds and top local names; Mark Ronson, Jess Glynne, Tiesto and Idris Elba have all taken to the stage, as have the likes of Danny Howard and Marko Smokingroove.
It is more than just music, though. The day-long shindig kicks off at noon with a brunch and pool package with the music and other entertainment kicking off from 5pm.
Tickets start from Dhs225 (early bird) up to Dhs400 for a pool-side lounge and changing facilities. Brunch, which includes unlimited food and drink between 12pm-3pm comes in at Dhs495.
