Benny Benassi is not only a well-respected international DJ, he’s also a really nice chap – as you might expect from a man who spends his spare time cycling around his Italian home town and hanging out with his old friends. Aw, bless.

But don’t let his idyllic home life fool you; he’s a dynamo behind the decks, throwing quality electro house tunes to crowds on every continent on the planet (except the big icy ones that nobody lives on, obviously. It’s no wonder he’s now one of the world’s most popular DJs, having even opened for megastar Madonna last year at Rome’s Olympic stadium.

But he’s determined not to take himself too seriously. Those who accuse him of selling out for licensing his music for use in commercials are met with a resounding shrug – as far as Benny’s concerned, it’s just good marketing. Fair enough, say we. If it helps his name spread even wider, we’re all for it.
