Alpha reopening
We look ahead to the post-Ramadan events with a preview of what to expect from the Alpha reopening party Discuss this article

The big post-Ramadan nightlife weekend will be covered next issue – that’s the one that goes over Friday September 25 and Saturday September 26, you see – but there are a few things happening at the tail end of this week, one of which is the return of Dubai’s most eclectic clubs. Yes: Alpha will be opening its doors for another season of partying with a set by Da:Funct (See You Next Friday, bottom left) and Mr Mr (Audio Tonic, bottom right).
The pair will kick off Alpha’s return to the clubbing scene with a set comprising house, electro and nu-disco tunes, but we’ve also heard on the grapevine that there will be some kind of live performance happening on the night. The details, however, were kept secret even from us. Will it be a surrealist cabaret including sexy dancers, trick ferrets, fourth-dimensional contortionists, a time-travelling ox and a guest appearance by Elvis? Almost certainly not, but we live in hope.
Alpha season reopening party is on September 24.
