The Irish VillageWhat would St Patrick’s Day be without The Irish Village, eh? Aside from a bit quieter, of course. Bob Geldof is making his annual St Paddy’s visit, with Aussie band Frequent People in support. But this year he’s not coming out until Friday 19, which means The IV is kicking things off on Wednesday 17 with a free gig by Dubai’s own Maplejacks and DJ Marky Mark, plus a troupe of Irish dancers. They’ll be returning (minus the dancers) on Thursday 18, and on Saturday 20 there’ll be a kids’ day with bouncy castles and face painting. Bless. There’s also an Irish buffet for Dhs85.
