Amy Winehouse sweeps into Gulf Bike Week for a live show
Time Out Dubai staff
It seems the Brits are out in force this weekend, as the woman who’s as famous for her bad-girl rep as she is for her music sweeps in for a live performance at Gulf Bike Week. Having survived a full-scale public meltdown, substance abuse and the crushing weight of her phenomenal beehive (who needs pockets with something so stash-worthy?), it seems Ms Winehouse is now on the mend, having stormed stages in South America during her comeback tour at the beginning of the year. Here’s hoping she puts her demons behind her to give it her best when she steps onto the stage at Festival City this Friday.
Amy Winehouse performs at Gulf Bike Week on February 11.

Amy Winehouse was hideous! My husband and I only had 2 nights in Dubai and regret spending one of them at the concert.
I am sorry for spending 600 dhs for the tickets and sorry we didn't do something else instead!!!
I want to request a full refund but there is no email on the production company's web site.

Done Events no longer have an email address on their website, I wonder why? Their server would probably crash. When I called they told me that everyone else their was more than happy with the performance. Can you believe that?
You can find Done Events on Facebook and rate them whatever you think is appropriate, I was only disappointed that the lowest I could rate was 1.
Is this guy Ovesen from Done Events for real? He said that 10,000 people watched the event until the end and that they were over the moon that she did a longer than planned set (!?!?!?!) as well as a great encore.
Amy Winehouse was a disgrace! She forgot the words of her second song, stumbled through the rest, she left the stage loads of times (the backing singers were more talented). No way did the crowd stay to watch her, I left after song 8 and the taxi que was pretty much all the way back to Festival Centre entrance. People were piling out in mass after her third song. We deserve a re-fund - you couldn't evne hear her. She was a mess, playing with her nails, drinking water mid-song, asking the crowd if they wanted to get up there and join the band after she was boo'ed etc etc. It's all on Youtube - the camera doesn't lie. I think 'Done Events' need to issue a refund. Amy Winehouse's spokes person has said her in ear monitor was not working, also we could not hear her as the sound levels were so poor. The only reason most people heard any of her concert is because we were stranded for hours fue to there being no taxis. It was pretty much one of the worst nights out I've ever had in this country.
Amy Winehouse and Done Events are best avoided, they may as well have donned a ski mask before taking the money I paid for tickets, at least I would have only been robbed and not lost an evening of my life as well.

If you want to ask for a refund then the company is called 'Done Events' and the details are below. They have said that nothing is guarenteed at a live concert butwe paid for her to sing which she, er, didn't. Hope people unite and put a bit of pressure on these guys. I certainly will be keeping an eye out for 'Done' and avoiding any future none-events.

Wow, Amy Winehouse was totally dreadful! I am devastated I paid 600 Dhs to see her not sing! She was truely awful, forgetting the words during her second song then storming off stage multiple times. Everyone was gutted and half the crowd had left by the time she got to song number 8. We deserve a refund after that and I for one intend to get it. Aparently (according to Gigwise.com) her spokes person said it was due to a faulty ear monitor, well none of her backing singers were having any problems. If it was due to technical problems then surely we get a refund right? Because they didn't check the kit or have a stand-by? I'm pretty sure it's just down to her being washed out, I mean come on, she's done nothing for years except some re-hab. Don't waste your money, she is a disgrace

Amy Winehouse was a total disappointment!
She stumbled through songs and barley managed to finish any of them.
She was constantly playing with her hair, looking at her nails and scratching her arm and looked totally uninterested.
After humming and mumbling around 4 songs she gave the mic to her backing singer to take over. He was very good but we had not paid to see him sing.
She returned to the stage after he sang 3 songs but she was just as bad, continually gargling water in the middle of the songs.
Many people began walking out after only 3 songs.
We eventually left after she began introducing the band which took up about 15 minutes of a 30 minute show.
It was totally not worth the 300 dhs we spent and I feel so sorry for the people who paid 1000dhs for the back to black lounge.
I would like to make an official complaint and request a full refund so would like any help from anyone who also wants the same.
