Deetron is torn between eras: willingly stuck in the past, yet striding bravely into the future. And he’s celebrated that dichotomy on his latest release. The first half of two-disc mix compilation Balance 20 is mixed digitally with all the geeky bells and whistles in place, while the second is spun on three old-school turntables.
It’s this record that the Swiss DJ is touring on his visit to Dubai, when he gets behind the decks for Ill Communications in the main room at Trilogy. Expect a heady mix of classics, exclusives, rare cuts, lesser-known gems and a healthy blend of big names and underground heroes.
